Understanding AKTU OneView: Marksheet Layout & Features

AKTU OneView is the centralized digital academic transcript engine of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. Learn how to read its semester tables, check carry-over marks, and interpret your academic journey.

Important Student Notice: akturesult.bond is an independent student utility platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). This informational article helps students understand how the official OneView platform organizes academic data.

1. What is AKTU OneView?

Introduced by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, AKTU OneView (oneview.aktu.ac.in) replaced old fragmented result links with a single persistent URL. Unlike conventional university portals that only display the most recently completed examination, OneView acts as a cumulative student ledger:

  • Continuous Academic Record: From Semester 1 through graduation, all completed terms are archived in one unified document.
  • Carry-Over History: When a student clears a back paper, the updated marks and clearing session are permanently recorded under that specific semester.
  • Degree & Division Summary: For final-year students, OneView computes final CGPA and awards Division (e.g., First Division with Distinction).

2. Header Profile: What Information is Stored?

When a student profile loads on OneView, the upper container presents foundational identity information:

Student & Parent Name

Spelled exactly as registered in university admissions and class 10th certificate records.

Roll & Enrollment Number

Roll number is your examination identifier; enrollment number is your permanent university registration ID.

Course & Branch Code

For example: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (010) or B.Pharm (050).

Institute Name & Code

The 3 or 4-digit code and legal name of your affiliated college.

3. Decoding the Semester Accordion Grid

Each completed term appears as an expandable accordion button (e.g., "Semester 1 [2022-23]", "Semester 2 [2022-23]"). Inside each accordion, subjects are cataloged into columns:

Column NameSignificancePassing Requirement
Subject Code & NameOfficial course code (e.g., KCS501 for Database Management Systems).Core credit requirement
Sessional (Internal)Marks awarded by college faculty (Class Tests, Teacher Assessment, Attendance). Typically out of 30 or 50.Aggregated with theory
External (Theory/Lab)Marks obtained in university end-semester written exams (typically out of 70 or 100).Min 30% required in external
Total Marks & GradeCombined internal + external marks mapped to CBCS letter grades (O, A+, A, B+, B, C, P, F).Min 40% aggregate total

4. How Carry-Over Papers (COP) Appear

If you took a back paper (Carry Over Exam) in a subsequent semester, OneView does not create an isolated separate marksheet. Instead:

  • The back paper record is updated directly within the original semester accordion where the backlog originated.
  • A special COP session tag is appended (e.g., "Cleared in Session 2024-25 Odd").
  • The updated external score replaces the previous failing grade, and the semester SGPA is recalculated and updated.

5. Provisional Nature vs Official University Transcripts

Students should bear in mind that the web display on oneview.aktu.ac.in carries an explicit university disclaimer:

Official University Clause:

"Neither Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University nor the software vendor is responsible for any inadvertent error that may have crept in the results being published on NET. The results published on net are for immediate information to the examinees. These cannot be treated as original mark sheets."

Original, sealed, and stamped marksheets are issued only by the university examination division through your affiliated college principal's office.
